When planning your trip to Morocco, Tangier is sure to be a prominent destination you’ll come across. This city serves as a crucial port, linking Morocco to Southern Europe, welcoming numerous ferries daily. However, Tangier transcends being just a transit point. Nestled on Morocco’s northern Mediterranean coast, Tangier epitomizes an exhilarating fusion of European, African, and Arab influences. Our primary objective in this full-day excursion is to unveil the city’s unique charm to our travelers. We aim to showcase the beautiful and historic sites, including the old Medina, the Kasbah, Hercules Caves, Cap Spartel, and more.
Embark on a private day trip to Tangier full of exploration and cultural richness. Following a delicious breakfast, our Air-conditioned 4×4, Van, or minibus will pick you up from your Hotel/Riad or Tangier Airport/Port. The journey begins with a scenic drive through Tangier’s affluent zone of villas and palaces, passing by notable landmarks like the kings’ palace and residences of celebrities such as Barbara Hutton and Malcolm Forbes.
Our first stop is Cape Spartel, a renowned location just outside Tangier. Situated at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, Cap Spartel is where the Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean meet, offering breathtaking views from its elevation of about 1000 feet. Explore the historic Caves of Hercules, dating back to the Neolithic era, located beneath the cape. Capture picturesque moments, and if you desire, enjoy a camel ride.
Returning to Tangier, the cultural tour commences with a visit to the Kasbah, the oldest and most exotic part of the city. Following the footsteps of Matisse, the renowned French painter, we’ll navigate the charming streets filled with snake charmers and delightful labyrinthine alleys. The journey then takes us to the vibrant Medina, where you can savor the world-famous Moroccan cuisine amidst the tunes of Andalusian musicians and a mesmerizing belly dancer.
Discover landmarks like Grand Socco, Petit Socco, Old American Legation (established in 1821), the Mendoubia building and Gardens (formerly the international administration during Tangier’s control by eight powerful countries), and delve into the bustling market for a unique shopping experience.
As the day concludes, we’ll drop you off at your hotel or the airport/port, marking the end of our service and the Tangiers full-day trip. We sincerely hope you’ve relished the journey with our team!
