Itinerary
4 days Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour

Day 1Fez - Atlas Mountains - Tiz'n Talghomt - Errachidia - Merzouga Desert

Welcome to Morocco! Our 4-day adventure begins with an early departure from Fez, heading towards Merzouga through the picturesque Middle Atlas Mountains. Revel in a scenic drive through charming Berber villages, with delightful stops along the way. Take a break in the enchanting city of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Moroccan Switzerland,” and continue to Azrou, home to the famous cedar forest where you can encounter playful monkeys.

Afterward, a pause in the city of Midelt allows for a leisurely lunch. Following this, we proceed to Erfoud, passing through the captivating Ziz Valley, offering panoramic views of oasis landscapes. En route from Erfoud to the mesmerizing dunes, catch glimpses of nomadic Berber tribes in their natural surroundings.

As you arrive in Merzouga, camels await to embark on an adventurous ride, providing a unique vantage point to witness the magical sunset. A delightful dinner accompanied by Berber folklore unfolds under the open sky, and you’ll retire for the night in a traditional Berber tent at a charming Auberge in Merzouga.

Day 2Explore Merzouga area – Erg Chebbi - Camel Trek and Night at Desert Camp

Today promises to be the highlight of your 4-day Sahara desert journey. Following a delightful breakfast, immerse yourself in the wonders of Merzouga, a gem in southern Morocco. Explore the captivating oasis, charming local villages, savor traditional music, and marvel at the beauty of the dunes. After a leisurely afternoon, return to the Auberge.

Embark on a camel ride for an adventurous exploration of the sand dunes, culminating in a night spent in a well-equipped camp amidst the Erg Chebbi, the heart of the Sahara. The evening is accompanied by rhythmic drum music, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Capture the breathtaking sunset from atop the high dunes upon reaching the camp, where you’ll retire for the night in a nomad tent, creating lasting memories.

Day 3Merzouga - Todgha Gorge - Dades Gorges

Begin your day by welcoming the sunrise amidst the dunes, a truly spectacular moment that encapsulates the essence of our Morocco desert tours. Following this enchanting experience, a camel ride will lead you back to a local hotel, where you can enjoy breakfast and a refreshing shower.

The journey unfolds as we head towards Ouarzazate, passing through Tinjdad. Along the way, a visit to Todgha Gorge, the highest oasis valley gorges in Morocco, awaits. Our adventure continues to Boumalene Dades, where we explore the captivating Dades Gorges. An overnight stay for dinner and accommodation at a hotel will provide a comfortable and memorable experience.

Day 4Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate - Ait ben Haddou - High Atlas - Marrakech

As our 4-day journey concludes today, the most vivid memory will undoubtedly be Ait Ben Haddou. Our route leads us towards Ouarzazate, often referred to as the Hollywood of Africa due to the renowned Atlas Studios, one of the world’s largest movie studios. While some travelers may choose not to visit the film studio, a stop at the Kasbah de Taorirt in town is highly recommended.

Our next destination is the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This well-preserved walled town, surrounded by Kasbahs, has not only served as the best example in the region but has also been featured in numerous Hollywood blockbusters and significant historical television programs. Movies such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia, as well as the final scene of Game of Thrones series three, were filmed here.

Continuing our journey, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizni Tichka pass, standing at an elevation of 2260 meters. The pass offers breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, and nearby Berber villages. As evening approaches, we reach Marrakech, marking the end of our 4-day desert tour from Fes to the desert and Marrakech.

The 4-day Sahara desert tour from Fes to Marrakech has come to an end! We sincerely hope you enjoyed this adventure with our team!
