Our first stop takes us to Kalaat Mgouna, renowned as the rose city for its blossoming roses and the lively annual festival held during the rose harvest in May. Continuing our exploration, we proceed to the enchanting Dades Valley, where you’ll be captivated by the region’s remarkable rock formations. The journey unfolds through Tinrghir and the Todra Valley, offering panoramic views of ancient mud Berber villages perched on the valley’s slopes.
Arriving at the Todra Gorge, immerse yourself in the breathtaking surroundings as you walk beneath the towering 300-meter-high red cliffs, a favorite destination for rock climbers pursuing their passion. Our adventure then carries us through Erfoud and Rissani before reaching the charming village of Merzouga, where a night of rest and relaxation awaits you at a local riad.

Continuing our adventure, we venture to witness the panoramic splendor behind the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, capturing the ever-changing hues of the dunes bathed in the sun’s warm light. Our journey takes us to the village of Mirdani, an ancient village in ruins, and Mifis, a site where coal extraction once thrived, sustaining much of Merzouga’s population. This day unfolds in close proximity to the majestic dunes, the highest in Morocco.
After exploring the village of Mirdani, our next stop is with Bedouin families in their traditional-style tents. Engage in tea time, immersing yourself in the Bedouin culture. As the day progresses, we visit the fossil-rich terrain and the oasis of Tissardmine. In the afternoon, we return to Merzouga, where you’ll mount your camels for a scenic ride to the camp. While some camps may require a 4×4 journey, camel rides are always available as an activity. Guided through the mystical sand-sea of the Erg Chebbi, you’ll reach the campsite.
The evening unfolds with a delightful alfresco dinner beneath the stars, setting the stage for a restful night either in a Bedouin-style tent or under the open sky, particularly enjoyable in the summer months.

Passing through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt, we then continue to Azrou, a charming Berber village nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains. En route, we pause to encounter the Barbary apes inhabiting the renowned Cedar forest. Our travels lead us to Ifran, often referred to as “the French village,” where you can pause for a picture or a refreshing drink before our final drive to Fes.
