2 Days From Marrakech to Essaouira

Embark on a delightful 2-day journey from Marrakech to Essaouira, a charming old coastal town just 2 hours and 40 minutes away. Your adventure begins at 8 am as your driver picks you up from your accommodation. On the way to the well-known Mogador Essaouira, you’ll explore the scenic route through Chichaoua, the only region where the Argan tree and acrobatic goats create a magnificent show, situated 170 km from Marrakech.

The itinerary includes a visit to the Argan Oil cooperative and a lunch break at the Essaouira port. Enjoy free time to explore the Medina, discovering its monuments such as the former Mellah (Jewish Quarter), the Scala, and the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah Museum. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the beautiful sunset with a cup of tea on one of the main squares adorned with cafes. Essaouira is renowned for its wood crafts and hosts the Souks of the Essaouira Medina, known for being some of the most affordable in Morocco.

Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at a typical Riad in the comfortable Medina, offering double rooms with showers.

After a hearty breakfast, we venture to the scenic beach of Sidi Kaouki, a mere 30 km south of Essaouira. This tranquil, laid-back beach town is renowned as a premier surfing destination in Morocco. Immerse yourself in the rustic charm of this quiet fishing town, known for its long, sandy beach that caters to both intermediate surfers and seasoned experts seeking an adventurous challenge.

Sidi Kaouki exudes a relaxed, bohemian ambiance, complemented by the white-washed buildings lining the beach. Explore the town’s surfing hotspot, where camel and horse riding are popular activities along the picturesque coast. Enjoy a delectable lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Cedarwood cooperative and Thuya.

In the late afternoon, we bid farewell to Sidi Kaouki and commence our journey back to Marrakech. As we drop you off at your accommodation, the 2-day tour from Marrakech to Essaouira concludes. We sincerely hope you relished your trip with our team!
