Your local guide will unveil the hidden stories about the lifestyle of the Pasha in the former feudalistic Moroccan society, shedding light on the status of his women, favorites, common-law wives, and slaves. Following this, we’ll venture outside the town for a private visit to the Atlas Corporation Studio—a well-known cinematographic center celebrated for blockbuster productions like Asterix and Cleopatre directed by Alain Chabat and the Oscar-winning Gladiator directed by Ridley Scott (entry fee: 50 DH/person, 8:30 am till 6 pm – depending on the season). Additionally, we’ll explore the Museum of Cinema (entry fee: 30 DH/person, 8 am-6 pm) that adds to the cinematic allure of the region. Continuing our journey, we’ll reach Ait Ben Haddou—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved Kasbahs in the Atlas region. For Game of Thrones enthusiasts, Ait Ben Haddou may ring a bell as it appeared in the final scene of series three. In the afternoon, on our return to the city, we’ll pause at Tifoultoute Kasbah, situated just 8km from Ouarzazate. Another of the Glaoui palaces, this kasbah featured in films like Jesus of Nazareth and Lawrence of Arabia. Once a hotel for film crews and production staff, it now stands abandoned, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Ouarzazate River.
